Have decided to do this.
NGAC and I spent - what was it almost an hour and a half intotal - trying to ftp the files containing some study material across to me (We didn't succeed by the way). Anyway, that's the plan. Wish me luck.
PS: GMAT still going. Booked for next March.

I hope you are going for SCJP 6 and not any of the earlier versions. The difference is too little. I know people who recently took older versions of the test because they were scared of "the new stuff". Duh.
I'd recommend the SCJP study guide by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates. And take a look at the Sun certifications forum at JavaRanch.com as well.
